NFL Draft
April 26 -27, 2008
New York, New York

The NFL Draft has become something of an American phenomenon, cementing the NFL’s place as a year round obsession with fans.  Full television and media coverage leading up to and through the event insure that it’s a nationally recognized event.

As to attending the NFL Draft, here’s the current assessment from Wikipedia:

“Tickets to the NFL Draft are…made available to fans on a first-come first-served basis. The tickets are distributed at the box office the morning of the draft, one ticket per person.  Long waits in line can be expected for fans hoping to get a live glimpse of their team's high-profile picks, or to express their displeasure at their team picking the "wrong" guy.  Fans must arrive early in order to attend the draft.”

Through NFL On Location and QuintEvents, you can avoid the long lines, uncertainty of attendance, and enjoy an “all access” experience to this year’s NFL Draft.  Packages include:

• VIP tickets to the draft Saturday, April 26 and Sunday, April 2.
• “Chalk Talk” session with an NFL Draft Analyst & NFL Player
• Tour of NFL Headquarters and Radio City Music Hall
• NFL Shop Gift Card & Draft Hat
• Drink and snack coupons for Radio City concession stands

The NFL Draft is a terrific value at only $625 per person, and is a great fit for:

  • Team building event for companies in the Northeast particularly;
  • A weekend relationship and networking trip with football fanatic prospect or client.  For the “wow factor”, you can be pretty well assured they’ve never been to this event or seen NFL Headquarters;
  • A great family trip for parent and child to experience something that enhances their love and appreciation of this great game.

As with all NFL On Location package offerings, QuintEvents can support any additional services you may require including hotel, transportation, and other city attractions.  One stop shopping with the people you trust.

Packages are limited so contact your Quint Sales Executive today for more information.

As we near the end of this first quarter of 2008, it’s time to update the “calendar of possibilities” with QuintEvents.  As a full service travel provider and Official Partner with some of the leading brands in the world of sports, Quint can support can support nearly ANY destination or group event.  Here’s a sampling of upcoming events in two easy buckets:

URGENT:  PICK UP THE PHONE TODAY

NCAA Regionals and Final Four – Whether looking for tickets to take your group to the game or a full service event, QuintEvents can help.  Recently, QuintEvents helped a Fortune 100 company with acquiring blocks of tickets to a prominent conference tournament along with a private tour of the professional football team facilities as pre-game attraction.

The Masters – QuintEvents supports group and ticket (badge) sales for The Masters every year.  This year we have full onsite support, hospitality, and accommodation options.

The Kentucky Oaks and The Kentucky Derby – With our Official Partnership with the event, you know it will be special – block seating, hospitality, fast access entrance, accommodations, and more.  If you’ve ever even thought about this event, talk to a QuintEvents Sales Executive today as we’ve got some really creative ways to make a group package work for your unique needs.

LET’S START PLANNING

Major League BaseballThe season starts on March 25th in Japan, and MLB games provide a terrific opportunity to reward teams and entertain clients on a regional basis.  Often eliminating the requirement for accommodations, Quint can create a “major league” event, even on a “minor league” budget.  Quint is supporting a client this year with a series of events at MLB venues that include premium seating, hospitality, gift bags, and corporate branding for under $600 per person.  (NASCAR also provides a great summer opportunity here with access to pit areas, driver appearances, and more).

Destination Travel Events – Now’s the time for development of Summer Sales Promotions and Quint can support partners in creating a web based tracking and promotion platform and offline communication strategies that culminates in group travel to an attractive destination – tropical, cruise, or whatever else may capture your audience imagination while reinforcing the brand and or promotional target.

Wimbledon – If you’re interested in something “across the pond”, QuintEvents has two attractions that may be of interest to you.  Working with the Official Partner to the All England Club, we’re proud to offer exclusive packages to Wimbledon that include seating, exclusive access, accommodations, and more.  Couple that with our private aviation through Sentient Jet and you’re truly entertaining like royalty. We’re also beginning our planning for the International Series game with NFL On Location.  This fall will feature the San Diego Chargers and New Orleans Saints in Wembley Stadium, London.

The Ryder Cup – It’s in Louisville, Kentucky this year at the Valhalla Golf Club.  The best of America’s golfers face off against the European stars in match play.  QuintEvents deep history in hosting golf events, coupled with our partnership with Churchill Downs and the Louisville community insure a great trip in September for your group.

All in all, there’s an event for you no matter where you are and what your budget is.  Set the goal – new business development, celebration of achievement, cementing critical relationships, or just rewarding yourself – and QuintEvents is your friend in the business who will make it happen.

Loyalty and Incentives in the Down Market

“You can’t shrink yourself to greatness.” - Tom Peters

As 71% of economists surveyed (WSJ, 3/13) believe we are in a recession, it’s important to focus on those things that will both assure the company viability today AND help to drive continued performance.  Indeed, one of the marks of “breakthrough companies” is the ability to see challenge and adversity as opportunity.  That being the case, it seemed an appropriate time to highlight a few critical factors in assessing the “opportunities” before us:

• “Return” focus
• Relationships
• Flexibility

“Return” focus

It’s striking how many people we talk to about loyalty programs return to the expense line and compare current initiatives with other opportunities almost exclusively on this measure.  It’s seems basic to consider the “R” in ROI, but a challenging market like this can cause reactionary thinking that expenses are the most important issue.  While they are an important factor, leaders intuitively understand that spending a dollar to make two (or ten) makes sense.  An environment like what we face today is a terrific opportunity to assess current marketing programs and determine not only what’s working well and what can be enhanced / eliminated, but also what can be added that will move new sales and performance.

Relationships

Every competent sales executive and marketer in America is ratcheting up their CRM efforts right now in response to new technology and market pressure.  That makes client and employee retention more important then ever, while acquisition of new clients becomes that much more challenging.  Relevancy of message and engagement become critical factors in every interaction- calls to “just check in” are non-value added.  A strategy that employs targeted message with clear “what’s in it for me” factor cuts through the clutter.

Flexibility

Volatility is sure to continue for some time as the markets work themselves out.  Tactics that rely on long development cycles are at risk of both missing spot opportunities due to delay or being non-existent by the time they are deployed (i.e. the “stated income mortgage” direct mail piece).  Solutions need to be considered for both their longevity of application (how long can I use it), and ability to quickly respond to opportunity (or threat).  And of course, how costly will these adjustments be.

The Quint Loyalty Platform meets all the requirements above with a pricing schema directly tied to results, powerful communication platform, and the technology that enables real time campaign adjustments for participant rewards.  If you’re interested in learning more about this exciting opportunity, a Quint Sales Executive can walk you through the opportunity in less than an hour to determine if there’s a fit.  Take your shot at transforming recession to “opportunity”!

Quint NCAA Tournament Fun Facts

  • The first men’s college basketball game was played on January 18, 1896 between the University of Iowa and the University of Chicago. The final score was a mind blowing 15-12. (There weren't a lot of slam dunks and fast breaks back then).
  • In 1967, the slam dunk was made illegal! The much-loved dunk was made legal again in 1976.
  • The most points scored by one team during the NCAA Basketball Tournament is 149, scored by Loyola Marymount against Michigan during the second round of the 1990 tournament.
